SAITAMA, Japan (AP) - France's expectations heading into the FIBA world championships changed dramatically just before the tournament started. Things ended with the country's best performance in 43 years. Florent Pietrus scored 12 points, including four free throws in the final 1:10, and had nine rebounds to lead France to a 64-56 victory over Turkey in the fifth-place game Saturday, matching its best result since finishing fifth in 1943.
