CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte Bobcats head coach Bernie Bickerstaff has been looking for the right rotation of players to break the team out of its recent slump. He may have found the combination Thursday night, when Sean May and Adam Morrison came off the bench to combine for 54 points in the Bobcats' 99-89 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Paul Pierce and Ryan Gomes each scored 18 points, and Tony Allen had 16 to help the Boston Celtics beat the 76ers 101-81 Wednesday night, handing Philadelphia it's ninth straight loss.

In his first start of the season, Jared Jeffries had 15 points, seven rebounds, three steals and an assist to help the New York Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 94-82 on Wednesday night. Jeffries replaced David Lee in the starting lineup.

DALLAS (AP) - Now that Lamar Odom is hurt, Kobe Bryant is going to need some help _ a lot more than he got Wednesday night. In their first game without Odom since he emerged as a perfect complement to Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers overcame a rough start to make a late run at the Dallas Mavericks, but it wasn't enough to avoid a 110-101 loss.
