TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Martin Brodeur turned an outstanding performance into another milestone. Brodeur made 28 saves, extending his NHL record for consecutive 30-win seasons to 11, and the New Jersey Devils beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 Friday night.

CHICAGO (AP) - Now that the Nashville Predators have reached the top of the NHL standings, they're finding ways to stay there. Vernon Fiddler scored the winner with 2:21 left in the third period, and the Nashville Predators defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 Friday night. Fiddler beat Nikolai Khabibulin from the edge of the crease after getting open and taking a feed from Alexander Radulov, who was behind the net.
 
Nagy lifts Coyotes to 5-4 win over Avs

DENVER (AP) - Ladislav Nagy scored the only goal in the shootout, lifting the Phoenix Coyotes to a 5-4 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night.
 
Blues escape Red Wings 2-1 in OT

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Bill Guerin is happy to get a little luck sometimes. Coming off an appearance at the All-Star game earlier in the week, Guerin scored his team-leading 21st goal as he gathered a rebound off a shot from Doug Weight. The puck came off the pads of Detroit goalie Chris Osgood and Guerin slapped it into the goal from about 5 feet away to give the Blues a 2-1 overtime victory.
 
Wild defeat Flames 2-1 in shootout

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - In the ultra-tight Northwest Division, every point a team can take from a division foe can pay off for the postseason. Pavol Demitra and Petteri Nummelin scored in the shootout to give the Minnesota Wild a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday night.
