BOSTON (AP) - Doug Weight added a big point to the Carolina Hurricanes' NHL-leading total a week after a worst-to-first trade from St. Louis. Playing his second game with Carolina since joining the team last Monday, the 35-year-old Weight scored in the fourth round of a shootout to help the Hurricanes beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Sunday.
