Garon excels in net as Kings top Blues

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Luc Robitaille has picked up lots of experience in scoring 667 NHL goals. He put it to good use against the St. Louis Blues. The Los Angeles Kings forward tapped into his knowledge of goalie Patrick Lalime and took advantage, scoring the only goal in the shootout that gave the Kings a 2-1 victory Saturday night.

Yzerman helps Red Wings top Blackhawks

DETROIT (AP) - Steve Yzerman turned back the clock on Saturday night. He scored twice, and the Detroit Red Wings had three goals in each of the first two periods of a 6-4 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Brodeur helps Devils beat Capitals 4-3

WASHINGTON (AP) - The last time Martin Brodeur faced Alex Ovechkin, the young Russian scored the goal that knocked Canada out of the Olympics. Nothing will erase that sting anytime soon, but the veteran New Jersey goalie gained a small piece of satisfaction Friday night when he ended Ovechkin's scoring streak and stopped the Washington rookie in a shootout.
