Sakic sets NHL overtime record in Avs' win

DALLAS (AP) - Joe Sakic scored his NHL playoff-record seventh overtime goal Monday night, tipping in a shot at 4:36 of the extra period to give the Colorado Avalanche a 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars and a 2-0 series lead.

The Anaheim defenseman scored a short-handed goal and logged nearly 30 minutes of ice time Sunday night to help the Mighty Ducks beat Calgary 4-3 to even the Western Conference series at a game apiece.
