Cheechoo, Sharks rally past Red Wings

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Jonathan Cheechoo has taken a beating in the playoffs, yet he's still coming through when the San Jose Sharks need it most. Cheechoo scored a power-play goal with 6:21 to play, and the Sharks came from behind for a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night in Game 3 of their second-round series.

Emery outduels Brodeur as Senators win

OTTAWA (AP) - Ray Emery held off the Devils until his Ottawa Senators teammates could find a way to score on Martin Brodeur. Emery stopped 25 shots for his second playoff shutout and Tom Preissing scored 4:46 into the third period, leading Ottawa to a 2-0 win over the New Jersey Devils in Game 3 of their playoff series Monday night.

Sweden routs Latvia in hockey worlds

MOSCOW (AP) - Nicklas Backstrom scored 29 seconds after the opening faceoff and Sweden went on to an 8-2 win over Latvia on Monday and claim a place in the qualifying round of the hockey world championships.
