Colorado beats Calgary 5-4 in shootout

DENVER (AP) - Ryan Smyth had a goal and an assist, then scored the decisive goal in the shootout as the Colorado Avalanche rallied from a four-goal deficit to beat the Calgary Flames 5-4 on Tuesday night.
 
Panthers' Stumpel scores shootout winner

MONTREAL (AP) - Nathan Horton of Florida tied the game with 10.2 seconds left in regulation and Jozef Stumpel scored the only shootout goal to give the Panthers a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

Sabres, Hecht agree to 4-year, $14M deal
