Auld shuts out Canadiens, still loses

MONTREAL (AP) - Alex Auld waited a long time for his second career shutout, and was left with a hollow feeling afterward. Cristobal Huet stopped two of three shots in the shootout and Alex Kovalev and Saku Koivu converted their opportunities against Auld, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 1-0 win over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.

Thrashers' Holik burns Rangers in OT

The Thrashers blew a late lead for the second time in three games, but Bobby Holik and his old-school wooden sticks bailed Atlanta out this time in a 5-4 overtime victory against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.
