EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Antti Laaksonen scored the only goal in seven rounds of a shootout to give the Colorado Avalanche a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
 
Red Wings power past Capitals 4-3

WASHINGTON (AP) - Henrik Zetterberg scored two power-play goals and Nicklas Lidstrom added a goal and two assists to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals on Friday night.

TORONTO (AP) - Kyle Wanvig of the Minnesota Wild was suspended for one game by the NHL and coach Jacques Lemaire was fined $10,000 Friday, one day after the forward drew an instigator penalty in the final minutes of win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
 
Vokoun, Legwand out with knee injuries
