BOSTON (AP) - Spring training might be two months away, but credit new Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka with his first win in Boston. Patrice Bergeron scored two goals and Brad Stuart snapped a tie early in the third period as the Boston Bruins beat the New Jersey Devils 5-3 Thursday night.
 
Sullivan nets hat trick; Preds win 6-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Steve Sullivan had a natural hat trick in the second period, and Scott Hartnell added two goals to lead the Nashville Predators to a 6-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
 
Crosby being hailed by teammates as best

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Sidney Crosby seems almost embarrassed by all the praise. A night after Crosby took over the NHL scoring lead with a six-point game, Pittsburgh coach Michel Therrien called the 19-year-old star the best player in the NHL. And teammate Mark Recchi compared him to current and future Hall of Famers.
 
Gretzky smooths things out with Roenick

ATLANTA (AP) - Suddenly, the Atlanta Thrashers can't win at home. The Anaheim Ducks have been unbeatable on the road for a while. Teemu Selanne scored twice and Jean-Sebastien Giguere had 34 saves to help the Ducks beat the Thrashers 2-1 Wednesday night and set the NHL mark for the best road record through 15 games.
 
Avs send Blues to ninth straight loss
