AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Cheryl Ford had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Detroit Shock moved closer to the WNBA playoffs with a 55-40 victory Thursday night over the Indiana Fever.
 
Liverpool and Chelsea in same group

Inter's 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk, which gave the Italian team a 3-1 aggregate win, was played in an empty San Siro stadium because of a ruling that bars fans from Inter's first four Champions League matches. Chris Armas leads Fire past Raging Rhinos

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Chris Armas assisted on Chicago's goal in regulation and scored the game-winning penalty kick, leading the Fire past the Rochester Raging Rhinos 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 tie in a U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match on Wednesday night.
