PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - The loose balls? Southern California came up with them. Those crazy plays? They all went USC's way, too. The Trojans were every bit as good as advertised and the Rose Bowl was even more lopsided than expected. Freshman tailback Joe McKnight finished with 170 of USC's 633 yards in a record-setting romp Tuesday, 49-17 over outmatched Illinois.

Georgia leads Hawaii 24-3 in Sugar Bowl

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Georgia welcomed Hawaii to the BCS with a heaping helping of SEC speed and power. Knowshon Moreno ran for touchdowns on Georgia's first two possessions and the Bulldogs took a 24-3 lead on Hawaii after the fist half of the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday night.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The 19th-ranked Clemson Tigers resumed their domination of the Southeastern Conference, handing Alabama its worst home loss in seven years in the process. Trevor Booker and James Mays scored 18 points each inside and Terrence Oglesby added 17 to lift the hot-shooting Tigers (12-1) to an 87-61 win over the Crimson Tide on Tuesday night.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The 19th-ranked Clemson Tigers resumed their domination of the Southeastern Conference, handing Alabama its worst home loss in seven years in the process. Trevor Booker and James Mays scored 18 points each inside and Terrence Oglesby added 17 to lift the hot-shooting Tigers (12-1) to an 87-61 win over the Crimson Tide on Tuesday night.
 
Michigan helps Carr end career as winner

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Lloyd Carr went out a winner. Chad Henne threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns, Mike Hart ran for 129 yards and two scores and the Wolverines upset No. 9 Florida 41-35 Tuesday in the Capital One Bowl to win their first bowl game since 2003. This one was special. Michigan's senior class won its first bowl game in four tries and Carr ended his coaching career on a high note.
