Ashleigh Newman hit a long desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime while Marissa Coleman scored five straight points afterward to help sixth-ranked Maryland beat No. 1 North Carolina 98-95 on Thursday night, ending the Tar Heels' 30-game home winning streak.
