Nevada beats Utah St. in OT for WAC title

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nick Fazekas had 23 points and 14 rebounds and Marcelus Kemp hit a key 3-pointer with 46 seconds left in overtime to help No. 21 Nevada beat Utah State 70-63 on Saturday night in the Western Athletic Conference championship.
 
Syracuse wins Big East with magical ride

NEW YORK (AP) - Syracuse won the Big East championship. It was Gerry McNamara's tournament. The Orange repeated as conference champions by beating No. 15 Pittsburgh 65-61 on Saturday night. It was the first time in their record four victories they didn't need late-game heroics from the senior guard.
 
Krauser, Pitt fall short of championship

Kent State gains NCAA tournament berth

CLEVELAND (AP) - Four years after crashing the NCAA tournament, Kent State is on its way back looking to do more damage. Senior Kevin Warzynski scored 21 points and made two huge baskets when Kent State was barely hanging on, and the Golden Flashes won the Mid-American Conference tournament 71-66 over Toledo on Saturday night to earn the MAC's automatic NCAA bid.
 
No. 19 Utah women win Mountain West title
