SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Clang. Bonk. Boing. That was the awful sound of Memphis letting the NCAA championship game rattle away at the foul line Monday night. Too bad for the Tigers, they lived up to their reputation at the end _ a wonderful team that simply couldn't hit big free throws.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Derrick Rose scored a three-point play on one of his wild, pump-filled dashes to the rim and made a crazy-good long bank shot off an inbounds pass. If he'd only made a free throw with 10 seconds left, he probably would've turned the Memphis Tigers into national champs.
