Duke wins NCAA women's golf title

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Duke became the second school in NCAA history to win three straight women's golf titles, and Arkansas' Stacy Lewis rallied to take the individual championship in windy and rainy conditions Friday.
 
FAMU hoops coach charged with stalking

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida A&M University basketball coach Mike Gillespie Sr. was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor stalking charge and later released from jail on a $1,000 bond. Police said they were called Friday morning by a woman, who said she was stalked at work Thursday evening and Friday morning.
 
Tech's Crittenton to stay in NBA draft

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Tech point guard Javaris Crittenton says a lack of depth at the point guard position in the NBA draft reinforced his decision to turn pro after one season with the Yellow Jackets. Crittenton said Friday he is interviewing agents.
 
Vols player not guilty in toy gun case

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A jury on Friday found Tennessee cornerback Marsalous Johnson not guilty of assault, after an off-duty sheriff's deputy said Johnson waved a gun at him while driving on the interstate.
 
Kansas guard Rush withdraws from draft

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Brandon Rush, who led Kansas in scoring last year, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will play his junior season at the school. A two-time all-conference selection, the 6-foot-6 Rush averaged a team-high 13.8 points for the Big 12 champions.
 
NCAA to move 3-point line back a foot

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The NCAA on Friday approved moving the men's 3-point line back 1 foot in 2008 _ from 19 feet, 9 inches to 20 feet, 9 inches. The decision by the Playing Rules Oversight Panel marks the first major alteration to the 3-point shot since its adoption in 1986-87.
