Oklahoma names Stephenson baseball coach

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Longtime Wichita State coach Gene Stephenson was hired as the new coach at Oklahoma on Sunday, succeeding Larry Cochell, who resigned last season after using a racial slur during off-camera interviews.
