Davidson reaches 1,000 points for Tide

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Jermareo Davidson reached 1,000 career points during the eighth-ranked Crimson Tide's 80-58 victory Friday night against Lipscomb. Davidson's 1,000th point came on a free throw, one of his 16 points. Alabama's Mykal Riley led all scorers with 21, and teammate Richard Hendrix added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
 
No. 17 LSU cruises past Samford 60-45

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU coach John Brady didn't expect to have an easy time against Samford in the final game of the Hispanic College Fund Classic on Friday. Brady's assessment was correct as it took the 17th-ranked Tigers about 30 minutes to pull away in a 60-45 victory.
 
No. 5 Huskies roll past Hartford 62-36

Tech got behind early and never recovered, losing 74-66 to UNLV and leaving Knight tied with Dean Smith at 879 career wins.
