Zito has five horses, big hopes for Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - With five horses in the field, trainer Nick Zito has every reason to believe he's about to win his third Kentucky Derby. "If we don't get No. 3 now, then I'll have to have Secretariat himself," Zito said Sunday outside his barn at Churchill Downs. "There's no question. I can't ask the man upstairs to give me a better a shot at this. If it happens, it happens."

DETROIT (AP) - Mitch Albom's column returned to the Detroit Free Press on Sunday and the best-selling author wrote about lessons learned since writing a column that contained errors and purported to describe events at a game even though it was written before the game took place.

Wariner unfazed by losing first two races

In his first two 400-meter races since winning gold at that distance in Athens last summer, Wariner certainly hasn't been slow. But he hasn't won, either.
