Temporary repairs to begin on Superdome

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Louisiana Superdome, which became a symbol of the destruction wrought by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and a shelter for thousands displaced by the storm, is scheduled to be temporarily repaired.

Meadowlands Racetrack cancels again

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The Meadowlands Racetrack canceled Saturday night's card because of heavy rains, its fourth straight night without thoroughbred racing.
