MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Top-ranked Lindsay Davenport had little trouble in the first round at the Australian Open, advancing 6-2, 6-1 Monday over Australian wild card entry Casey Dellacqua.

PHOENIX (AP) - Suzuki's Ricky Carmichael won the Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP/AMA Supercross Series race at Chase Field on Saturday night, beating Yamaha's Chad Reed.
