RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) - Twins Bob and Mike Bryan gave the United States a 2-1 lead with a lopsided doubles victory Saturday over Adrian Garcia and Paul Capdeville, late substitutes for Chile.
 
Kuznetsova retires from Bausch & Lomb

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (AP) - Italy's Francesca Schiavone earned a seventh chance at her first career tournament victory Saturday. Schiavone advanced to another final when Svetlana Kuznetsova retired from the Bausch & Lomb Championships with a groin injury.
 
France stays alive in Davis Cup vs. Russia

PAU, France (AP) - France stayed alive in its Davis Cup quarterfinal against Russia on Saturday, with Michael Llodra and Arnaud Clement beating Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny 6-3, 6-3, 6-7 (3), 5-7, 6-2 in doubles.
 
Argentina takes 2-1 lead over Croatia

ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) - Croatia's hopes of successfully defending its Davis Cup title slipped Saturday when Ivan Ljubicic and Marin Cilic lost 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to Argentina's David Nalbandian and Jose Acasuso in doubles, leaving the Croats trailing 2-1 in the quarterfinal match.
 
Australia clinches quarters at Davis Cup
