TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) - With all the success that Jeff Gordon has had at Talladega Superspeedway, you'd think he would look forward to racing here.
 
Earnhardt, Waltrip still tough to beat

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) - Teammates Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Michael Waltrip will start near the back of the field Sunday in the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. Nobody expects them to stay there long.
 
Nemechek hovering near breakthrough year

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) - Joe Nemechek is an unwavering optimist. Racing in NASCAR's top series full-time since 1994, Nemechek has won just four times in 366 starts and has never finished better than 15th in the season points. But Nemechek, who moved into the No. 01 Chevrolet late in the 2003 season, still believes he can be a championship contender.
