Amtrak boosts Acela service on East Coast

Beginning Monday, Acela will run nine roundtrips between Washington and New York each weekday, Amtrak said. That is three more than the passenger railroad is currently operating along that route, but is down from the 15 weekday roundtrips Acela was making earlier this year between Washington's Union Station and New York's Penn Station.
