NEW YORK (AP) - Online news video is plentiful: NBC, ABC and CBS all have Web editions of their evening news, and CNN recently launched a four-channel broadband network carrying feeds not available on its U.S. cable channels. Best of all, most of it is free.

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Tick. Tick. Tick. The dreaded waiting period for a computer to boot up is all too familiar. Even the pilot on my flight to Las Vegas this week told passengers they would have to wait for a few minutes _ "like how your computer has to boot up at home" _ as he restarted the engine before takeoff.
