Cisco extends iPhone talks with Apple

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Cisco Systems Inc. said late Thursday that it has given Apple Inc. nearly another week to respond to its trademark infringement lawsuit that threatens to halt Apple from using the "iPhone" name on its much-hyped new iPod-cellular phone device.

MOSCOW (AP) - In a Feb. 13 story about the trial of a Russian teacher charged with using pirated Microsoft software in school computers, The Associated Press, based on a Russian TV report from the courtroom, erroneously reported that the defendant refused an out-of-court settlement from Microsoft. Microsoft said it made no such offer.
