BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - When Fred McChesney heard about the Virginia Tech shooting spree on April 16, he was appalled. But what he did next has appalled many others. Within hours of the rampage, the Phoenix man began buying dozens of domain names _ CampusKillings.com, VirginiaTechMurders.com, SlaughterInVirginia.com _ in the hopes of selling them later to the highest bidder.
 
Microsoft buys stake in CareerBuilder

SEATTLE (AP) - Microsoft Corp. said Wednesday it has acquired a minority stake in job-listings partner CareerBuilder.com and will use that job-search engine on MSN sites overseas in a bid to capture more of the classified advertising money migrating to the Web.
