ATLANTA (AP) - Pamela Elder, a junior at Georgia State University, got hooked when she found some old high school classmates. Next she used the online yearbook of yearbooks to track down people she hadn't seen since grade school. No wonder the Facebook is an Internet sensation at campuses across the nation.

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Students apply to college online, e-mail their papers to their professors and, when they want to be cheeky, pass notes in class by text-messaging. But that doesn't necessarily mean they have a high Internet IQ.

U.S. to retain oversight of Web traffic
