AOL to pay $3M, reform cancel policies

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Averting a looming court battle over how it has handled the exodus from its Internet dial-up service, AOL has agreed to make it easier for its remaining customers to leave as part of a $3 million settlement with 48 states and the District of Columbia.

Ohio: Stolen device contains 859,800 IDs

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A stolen computer storage device contained more than twice the number of taxpayers' identifications than had been previously reported, Gov. Ted Strickland said Wednesday, but he emphasized there is still no indication the data have been compromised.
