Sony BMG urges security fix for CDs

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sony BMG Music Entertainment said Tuesday some 5.7 million of its CDs were shipped with anti-piracy technology that requires a new software patch to plug a potential security breach in computers used to play the CDs.

South Korea watchdog fines Microsoft $32M

GWACHEON, South Korea (AP) - South Korean antitrust regulators ruled Wednesday that Microsoft Corp. abused its market dominance, fined it 33 billion won ($32 million) and ordered the software giant to offer alternative versions of Windows. Microsoft said it will appeal the decision in court.
