DirecTV buys DVR software maker ReplayTV

(AP) - In the latest twist in the ever-shifting digital video recording industry, the nation's leading satellite broadcaster DirecTV has purchased most of the assets of ReplayTV, an early pioneer of DVRs that was crushed into near oblivion years ago after a court battle with Hollywood.
 
Nortel files lawsuit against Vonage

NEW YORK (AP) - Nortel Networks Corp., the Canadian maker of telecom equipment, filed a lawsuit on Friday against Vonage _ claiming that it violated nine patents related to Internet phone services and related features such as 911 and 411 calling and click to call.
