NEW YORK (AP) - As if its options woes weren't trouble enough, Apple Computer Inc. said Friday it is facing several federal lawsuits, including one alleging the company created an illegal monopoly by tying iTunes music and video sales to its market-leading iPod portable players.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Apple Computer Inc. restated past earnings Friday and acknowledged the backdating of thousands of stock option grants. But the company cleared current management and Chief Executive Steve Jobs of misconduct, saying it has "complete confidence" in the executive team.
 
Taiwan telecom won't build add'l backup
