NASA: Dinged-up fuel tank can be fixed

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) - A preliminary inspection of space shuttle Atlantis's hail-damaged fuel tank shows it can be repaired in Florida, keeping it on track for a launch as soon as late April, a NASA spokeswoman said Friday.

Robot salamander may give evolution clues

WASHINGTON (AP) - The first animal to crawl onto land from the ocean probably looked a bit like today's salamander, and researchers have wondered how it was able to switch from swimming to walking. Now, European scientists have built a robot with a primitive electric nervous system that they say mimics that change in motion.

The Atlas 5 rocket was carrying two satellites that are part of the Orbital Express Experiment. Part of the mission was designed to have one satellite transport fuel and replace instruments on the other satellite.
