CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) - Spacewalking astronauts stepped outside Monday night and gave the space station's new robot some eyes and a set of tools. It was the third spacewalk of shuttle Endeavour's visit to the station, each one aimed at putting together Dextre, the giant robot.

Group: Humpback whale calves make sounds

HONOLULU (AP) - Researchers say they have shown for the first time that humpback whale calves make sounds. The nonprofit Cetos Research Organization, which studied humpbacks off Maui and Kauai, say the grunts and squeals emitted by the young whales are messages for their mothers.
