New dinosaur resembles large turkey

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Fossils discovered in southern Utah are from a new species of birdlike dinosaur that resembled a 7-foot-tall brightly colored turkey and could run up to 25 mph, scientists said Tuesday.

Researchers link chinook, orca populations

SEATTLE (AP) - The killer whales that chase salmon in this region's inland waters feed almost exclusively on chinook, to the extent that the orca population ebbs and flows right along with that of the West Coast's largest and longest-lived salmon, researchers said Tuesday.

Baby seal swims up Delaware River

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. (AP) - A baby seal is the latest wayward sea creature to make its way up the Delaware River. The gray seal, estimated to be about 3 months old, apparently came for the fishing, experts said.
