Hemophilia drug used on GIs labeled risk

BALTIMORE (AP) - A blood-coagulating drug designed to treat rare forms of hemophilia is being used on critically wounded U.S. troops in Iraq despite evidence it can cause clots that lead to strokes, heart attacks and death in other patients, The (Baltimore) Sun reported for Sunday's editions.

Silicone implants to overtake saline

WASHINGTON (AP) - Plastic surgeons expect breast implants filled with silicone gel to supplant those containing salt water as the most popular choice of the nearly 300,000 U.S. women a year who have their breasts surgically enlarged.
