Men accused of stealing iPods in 'jeans'

RIVERDALE, Utah (AP) - Three New York men are charged with stealing 39 iPods by stashing them in a special pair of oversized jeans that didn't trigger security detectors at a Target store, police said. "On the video you can see them walk out of the store cool as a cucumber," Riverdale Police Chief Dave Hansen said.
 
Teens accuse each other of haircut rage

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Two teenagers are accusing each other of assaulting each other by haircut. An 18-year-old Des Moines East High School student told police Wednesday that another teenager came up behind her with a pair of scissors and began cutting her hair.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say Shawnta McBride is more than living up to her name. McBride, 31, has married five men without divorcing her first husband, according to warrants issued by Gwinnett County Police detectives on five counts of bigamy and false swearing.

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Lucille Greene, an 88-year-old grandmother, takes baking and mailing about 30 family recipe fruitcakes as Christmas gifts seriously. Seriously enough that she sued the U.S. Postal Service for emotional distress after alleged rough treatment and accusations of being a terrorist from a postal clerk, according to her federal lawsuit.
 
Fla. court upholds topless protest

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A woman, who was arrested when she exposed her breasts to protest laws that bar women from publicly going bare breasted, can demonstrate topless as part of a legitimate political protest, an appeals court has ruled.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - A teenager who put her bra on a car antenna before it flew off and led to a highway accident will be charged with littering, a prosecutor said. Emily Davis, 17, of Bowling Green, told investigators she took her bra off while her friend was driving on Interstate 75.
 
Kangaroo sighted on Austrian highway

VIENNA, Austria (AP) - A kangaroo was sighted on a highway in western Austria, but disappeared again, police said Thursday. The marsupial, which escaped from an enclosure in the village of Volders about two weeks ago, was seen by several people on a highway in Tyrol province, a statement said.
