Women charged after stopping for apple pie

CHURCH HILL, Tenn. (AP) - Two women's craving for apple pie got them in a pickle. The manager of a McDonald's restaurant called police Tuesday after the women, whom employees say were acting strangely as they ordered the pies at a drive-through, struck the side of the building with their pickup.

Disabled woman's scooter stolen again

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Lightning struck Gloria Brock _ twice. About 18 months ago, somebody stole the disabled woman's $1,500 red scooter from her family's front yard. This week, her replacement scooter was stolen _ from the back yard, where she parked it to shield it from thieves.

Deputy delivers baby outside Dairy Queen

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Perhaps she had a craving for a Blizzard. Elizabeth Alexandra Austin entered the world in a Dairy Queen parking lot in Oakland County's Waterford Township on Tuesday. Her parents, Kendra and John Austin, of Holly, had been hoping she would wait until they reached the hospital.

10-year-old girl goes for joy ride in N.M.
