OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Kansas swingman Keith Langford smiled and laughed while taking part in most of a light practice Thursday night, then said he's optimistic of playing Friday night against Bucknell in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Langford, the second-leading scorer on the Syracuse Regional's third seed, hasn't played since spraining an ankle nearly two weeks ago. A severe case of the flu left him hospitalized during the Big 12 tournament last week, then his return was set back this week by an aggravation of the ankle problem and a relapse of his illness.
"If you ask me, I'm 100 percent a go, going to play, but the doctors and trainers want to wait until the last minute," he said. "Tomorrow during the day we'll make a decision."
