U.S. Negotiator to Discuss Airbus in Talks

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick will discuss a deadlocked dispute with the European Union over subsidies to aircraft makers Airbus and Boeing Co. during talks at EU headquarters, officials said.

Zoellick has continued to lead aircraft subsidy negotiations after leaving his post as U.S. trade representative and is set to meet Monday with EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

"It would be surprising if it weren't mentioned," EU spokeswoman Emma Udwin said Friday.
