 LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles Dodgers executives Lon Rosen and Gary Miereanu are no longer employed by the team following a front-office shakeup Friday.
Allan Mayer, managing director of Sitrick and Company, wouldn't say whether the two were fired or resigned. Mayer's firm has been a consultant to Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and the team since February.
"Over the past year, the Dodgers have made a number of organizational changes to improve business operations," Mayer said. "This effort continued today with a series of changes, mainly involving the franchise's marketing and communications group, aimed at increasing our overall effectiveness, our accountability and responsiveness."
