PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pirates second baseman Jose Castillo left Wednesday's game against Milwaukee with a strained oblique in his left side.
Castillo was injured while batting in the second inning but remained in the game to strike out against Brewers left-hander Doug Davis. He was replaced in the field by Rob Mackowiak to start the third.
One other Pirates player — catcher Humberto Cota — is on the 15-day disabled list with a similar injury.
