VICTORIA, British Columbia (AP) - Canada beat Germany 8-6 Saturday to advance to the finals of the curling world championships.
Canada will face Scotland in Sunday's final.
The United States, led by skip Pete Fenson, earned a berth in the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Italy, by finishing in a six-way tie for first place in round-robin play. The Americans lost their tiebreaker to Norway 10-6.
