LOS ANGELES (AP) - As a kid growing up in nearby Simi Valley, Jeff Weaver spent many hours at Dodger Stadium cheering for the home team.
So he's especially excited about pitching the Los Angeles Dodgers' home opener Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants.
"It's a dream come true for me — throwing opening day in the stadium that I grew up going to," Weaver said. "I'll have all my friends and family there."
