ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Orlando Cabrera hit the first pitch of the 10th inning for a home run, and the Los Angeles Angels spoiled the Texas Rangers' home opener with a 7-6 win Monday.
Cabrera's first homer of the season came off R.A. Dickey (0-1).
The Angels had tied the game when Darin Erstad had a leadoff homer in the ninth off closer Francisco Cordero, who had allowed just one homer in 67 appearances last season. Cordero struck out two after that, but didn't return because he had also pitched the last two days.
