PITTSBURGH (AP) - Free safety Chris Hope agreed to a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday.
The Steelers had the right to match any offer to Hope, and team signing him would have been required to give the Steelers a third-round draft pick. He signed a $656,000 deal.
Hope became a starter last season after two seasons as a backup, finishing second on the team with 97 tackles. He also made his first career interception.
