CINCINNATI (AP) - Right-hander Ramon Ortiz went on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with a sore groin, leaving the Cincinnati Reds to shuffle their rotation again.
Ortiz strained his groin on a pitch during the final week of spring training. He had to miss a start last Wednesday in St. Louis when it tightened.
He threw off a mound Saturday and felt good, but the groin was bothering him a day later. The Reds put him on the disabled list retroactive to April 9, the day after he made his only start.
