LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was lower against most other major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.3004 in European trading, up from $1.2929 Friday. Later, in midday New York trading, the euro was worth $1.3038.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Friday, included 107.53 Japanese yen, down from 107.56; 1.1887 Swiss francs, down from 1.2005; and 1.2463 Canadian dollars, up from 1.2397.
