Galaxy Defeats FC Dallas 2-0

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Landon Donovan and Peter Vagenas scored first-half goals to help the Los Angeles Galaxy beat FC Dallas 2-0 on Saturday night.

Donovan opened the scoring in the ninth minute, beating goalkeeper Scott Garlick off a pass from Cobi Jones. Vagenas made it 2-0 in the 39th minute, scoring off a free kick.

Los Angeles improved to 3-0-1 and FC Dallas dropped to 3-1-1.
